Question of the week in Zendesk: Mode master or slave in KLIC-DI PDF Print E-mail

Which mode should I configure in the KLIC-DI: master or slave?

This week we have received a question asking how to configure the type of control for the KLIC-DI in an installation with a Daikin SKY Air unit.

The type of control with which we can configure the KLIC-DI can be: master or slave.

If in the installation, the wired remote control is not going to be included and the control of the air conditioner will be carried out only with the KLIC-DI, it must be configured as master.

In case of using a wired remote control together with the KLIC-DI in the installation, we have to choose which device will act as master and which as slave.

In order to verify in which mode the wired remote control is configured, we have to remove the lid and look at a small switch with the initials M (master) and S (slave) where the type of control can be also changed (if the mode is changed is necessary rebooting the wired remote control).

The device configured as master will be responsible for directly communicating with the machine and re-transmitting all the status to the slave control, as well as indicating the commands given by the slave control to the machine.
